Swimming with over 40 Olympians at this meet has made her so proud and gave her a "taste" of the Olympics! "I'm on top of the world" she exclaimed! Megan also had top national16 times in six events for both the short and long course 02/03 season.
Each year, Megan continues to set more records and earn the respect of those inside and outside of the sport. Megan continued her dominance of the Junior Olympic meet in March 2005 by becoming the first swimmer in Junior Olympic history to set a record in each race she swam.
Megan is currently a 9th grade student at Northeast High School. She takes advanced math along with: Spanish, science, history, religion, choir, English, and electives. She has been part of the basketball and volleyball teams in the past but has elected to pass them by to spend more time for her true love.....swimming.
Her coach, Fred Lewis of Saint Petersburg Aquatics, (SPA), has said that the one thing that separates her from other swimmers is her ability to work hard in practice. The hard work has paid its dividends.
