Megan Romano Finishes Prep Career with More State Titles
Megan Romano competed in her final Florida State High School Championship meet, and finished with 2 more individual titles; in the 100 Back and 200 Free.

Megan was shooting for some record-setting swims, but came up a little short on those goals. In the 200 Free, she stopped the clock at 1:46.06, just .17 off the record. Meanwhile, in the 100 Back, her 54.12, was .28 short of the state mark. Still, extremely impressive times that were also served as career bests.

On the relay front, Megan and her Northeast teammates combined for a 3rd place finish in the 200 Medley relay with a 1:51.79 finish.

Megan Romano Signs LOI, Preps for State Meet
Megan Romano made it official today. She signed her Letter of Intent to swim for the Georgia Bulldogs beginning next fall.

Congrats, again, Megan!

Saturday, Megan will swim in her final Florida High School State Championship meet. Her events are the 200 Free and 100 Back. The meet is being held in Orlando at the Central Florida YMCA Aquatic Center.

Megan Romano is a Dawg
Megan Romano has chosen the college where she'll continue her swimming career.

She will head north, and out of her home state of Florida, and swim for Jack Bauerle at the University of Georgia.

Megan Romano Takes 10th in 50 Free, Gold in 400 Free Relay
Megan Romano contested a second event at the World Junior Champs, the 50 Free.

In tonight's semifinal action, Megan turned in a 26.52 swim to finish 10th, and will serve as the 2nd alternate for tomorrow night's final. She was the highest placing American in the event. Madeline Schaefer took 12th in 26.64.

Megan later contributed to the Team USA 400 Free Relay as the second leg. Combined with Dagny Knutson, Liz Pelton, and Samantha Tucker, the foursome took the gold medal with a Championship record time of 3:43.54.

Megan Romano Scores Bronze at World Youth Champs
Megan Romano followed her 100 Free career best time of 55.94 from last night's semifinals with a bronze-medal winning 56.32 tonight.

The gold went to teammate Samantha Tucker, who touched in 55.59, a new championship record. Germany's Silke Lippok scored the silver after a 56.08 finish.

Megan Romano Competing At World Junior Championships
Based on her performance at last week's US Olympic Team Trials, Megan Romano has qualified to compete at the FINA World Junior Swimming Championships in Monterrey, Mexico, which began yesterday.

Megan will contest the 100 Free. In the preliminary heats this morning, Megan posted the top time of 56.00, ahead of teammate Samantha Tucker's second place 56.25 swim. The event semifinals will take place this evening.
